During the first few weeks of school children in Foundation Class spend time exploring the learning environment and building relationships.

We develop our love of books and stories through role play and small world story telling. This helps us to develop our communication and language as well as so many other skills such as being imaginative, taking on a role, taking turns and negotiating ideas, joining in with repeated text...

Two of our children reading out their lovely work, filmed by another one of our pupils - fabulous!

The children read out their journals about their weekends during snack time, the other children have chance to ask them questions about their weekend. This activity supports a range of areas over the curriculum.
